Why I could Never Be a Vegan.

I would like to start with a disclaimer. I don’t hate the vegan practice. I do however think that every single vegan out there needs to mind their own (well except Tara and Ellen DeGeneres). I also enjoy vegan clothing and things of that nature. And even though I’m a picky eater it’s not by choice and it’s not out of spite that I write this.

-We are not engineered to eat only veggies. First of all our bodies are not capable of eating cellulose. We do not have a specialized stomach. And also our intestinal length matches the ratio of that of other omnivores. If God really wanted us to eat veggies and nothing else then we wouldn’t have the set of teeth that we do. There’s no avoiding it. What are you gonna do? Fight God?

-Vanity. I like shoes. Better yet I like heels. And what are heels made of? Leather.Alligator. Python. Fur. And then there’s silk and wool. Plus, they use fish scales in shiny things like nail polish, and lipstick.

-I Would Die. As I said before, I am picky. Beyond picky. And if I had to be on a vegan diet I would die of malnutrition eventually. No beef, poultry, honey, Jell-O, eggs, and such. No way, not gonna do it. There are even animal by-products in alcohol!

-The Fans. I hate people that post that eating meat is ‘disgusting, vile and selfish’. Us meat eaters and regular vegetarians may be ‘vile and such’, but it doesn’t change that fact that you have made yourself into a condescending, egotistical, conceited, extremist. It’s one thing for you to make the choice. It’s another thing to think that people are going to change because of your negative rants. It’s not that I don’t like vegans, I don’t like the boastful ones.

-There Are Bigger Fish to Fry. (no pun intended) There are millions of cows and pigs and chickens alive. Yes, they should be treated fairly. But I think until cows turned up on the threatend list then there should be a bit more slack. We have whales to save.

-Pets. Now having pets isn’t against the vegan rules. But being Vegan almost seems like a religion. If I was vegan I’m sure that I would hate breeders. That purebred dog or cat that you have came from a breeder that does some crazy stuff. Just Google it. Being bred ‘humanly’ isn’t what you think it is. Most breeding animals aren’t allowed in the same room. So instead of getting the mini-kitty that I want, I’d have to adopt a ferrel cat. I think that vegans who have $4000 cats and dogs completely renigs them being vegan. But I’ll never be a vegan so it doesn’t really matter right?
